Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge for travel?

No, we do not charge for travel if your wedding is in Colorado.

Will you shoot weddings outside of Colorado?

Yes, we love traveling for work and seeing new places—especially if they are tropical!

Do you offer live-streaming?

Yes, but only live streaming of the ceremony, and only if the ceremony site either has a strong cell phone signal or a strong wi-fi signal. Otherwise, we don’t recommend it, as if the signal is bad, the live stream can be spotty and difficult to watch. One alternative we recommend if we aren’t able to live-stream is including a full-length ceremony edit that you can share with anyone who missed the special day. This option also gives the viewer more angles and is generally a more enjoyable viewing experience.

Who will be shooting our wedding film?

Scott is the first shooter on our top 2 packages, and Sid and Lakpa will typically cover the filming of the bottom 3 packages. The footage you see in our wedding films is a combination of all of our work. Sid and Lakpa have been personally trained by Scott over several years to maintain a similar quality and method for filming, so our work stays consistent across the board. Since our lowest tier packages only include one videographer, you can choose between Sid and Lakpa if you have a preference, but they are both excellent at what they do.

Why can’t we get the wedding film sooner?

During the wedding season, projects tend to stack up, and with the amount of attention and care we put into each film. Sifting through the whole day’s worth of footage, pulling out the best clips, picking songs if needed, editing the audio tracks, and color-grading the film—it takes time to create something beautiful, and we prefer not to cut corners on such an important piece. One thing we do offer though is within 72 hr. turnaround of a 45 - 60 second wedding film teaser for social media.

Can we choose our wedding film’s songs?

Yes, we allow our clients to select the songs for their wedding film or have us pick from our curated library of licensed wedding songs. We typically recommend licensable or less popular songs, so you don’t get flagged on social media when you post the wedding film.

What is “raw footage”?

Raw footage is just the raw video and audio clips, unedited, and only organized by cameras and microphones. For the most part, it’s not the easiest to watch, but it’s nice to have to see any moments that didn’t make it into the highlight film. Since not all of our packages include full-length edits of the ceremony and toasts, having the raw footage can be a nice replacement for that. However, I highly recommend getting the full-length edits for easier viewing if your budget permits.

Do you have a drone and what are the rules on where you can fly?

Yes, we have drones, and we have the option of adding drone footage to your wedding film for some breathtaking landscape shots, or fun group or romantic shots. There are unfortunately a lot of restrictions to drone flight, like being prohibited to fly over national parks, and certain counties as well. Don’t fret though, because there are plenty of beautiful areas where it is allowed, and if it’s over private property and the owner / wedding venue allows it, then it’s not a problem.

Do you offer photography?

Yes, we do in a case-by-case basis. Ask us about it, and we can share more information.

What are your favorite wedding locations in Colorado?

Estes Park, Dillon, and Loveland Pass are some of our favorite scenic spots in Colorado, but there are tons of amazing locations and venues within the state depending on the aesthetic you are going for. We have rustic, urban, rural, mountainous, lakeside, and forested locations. Colorado is a beautiful state to get married in for this reason.

Why should I hire a videographer?

The importance of wedding videography is unfortunately often overlooked.  From what we have heard from wedding planners, not hiring a videographer is often one of the biggest regrets of couples.

A wedding film captures the essence of the day in a way that photography just cannot. The laughter, tears, and candid moments all are captured in a way to keep those precious memories alive. It's also a wonderful way to share the experience with those who were unable to make it, like grandparents or friends. Allowing them to share the experience of the day is priceless.

That is why budgeting for a wedding videographer is one of the best choices you can make. The memories and emotions captured will be a timeless keepsake that you can cherish for a lifetime.
